The Melrose Buffaloes topped the visiting Quemado Eagles volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Buffaloes face the Gateway Christian Warriors (Roswell, NM) in a 1A District 4 game, on Tuesday, November 4. Melrose will attempt to advance on its 19-2 season record. The Warriors come into the outing with a 14-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Fort Sumner/House (Fort Sumner, NM).

With the loss, Quemado drops to 18-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Reserve (Reserve, NM) to play the Mountaineers in a 1A District 2 outing on Friday, November 7. The Mountaineers come into the outing with a record of 11-5. Reserve won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Animas (Animas, NM)
