Texas High School Basketball - Parkland can't hold off Chapin

The Chapin Huskies basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Parkland Matadors to 65 in the Huskies non-league triumph on Friday.

The Huskies now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a non-league contest on Monday, November 14. Chapin will battle a Cougars team coming off a 56-47 non-league loss to Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 1-3.

The Matadors (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bowie (El Paso, TX). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Bowie was nudged by San Elizario (San Elizario, TX), 54-42, in a non-league contest.
