In Friday's non-league contest, the host Corvian Community Cardinals basketball team scored a big 35-11 triumph over the Carolina International Comets.

The Cardinals (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Valor Preparatory Academy (Concord, NC). The Owls go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Valor Preparatory Academy was trounced by Langtree Charter (Mooresville, NC), 55-42, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Comets battle the A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, November 19. Carolina International will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
