The Corvian Community Cardinals basketball squad (Charlotte, NC), was crushed 64-9 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC)

With the victory, Jackson Day advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Mariners host Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA) to meet the Warriors in a non-league battle on Friday, December 20. The Warriors enter the battle with a record of 3-1. Nansemond River won 58-55 in their recent league battle against Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA)

The Cardinals now own a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Community School of Davidson for a 1A/2A Catawba Shores battle on Tuesday, January 7. Corvian Community will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 51-44 league loss to Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 5-3.
