The Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) basketball were winner over the visiting Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC), 37-29 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Cardinals now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Pine Lake Prep for a 1A/2A Catawba Shores bout on Friday, January 17. Corvian Community will play a Pride team coming off a 55-47 league loss to Langtree Charter Academy (Mooresville, NC). The Pride record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, Mountain Island Charter falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Raptors travel to Langtree Charter Academy (Mooresville, NC) to play the Lions in a 1A/2A Catawba Shores bout on Thursday, January 16. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Langtree Charter Academy won 55-47 in their recent league bout against Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC)
