The Master's Academy Lions (Forest City, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Challenger Firebirds (Hickory, NC), 40-23 in a league game.

In their next game, the Lions face the Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors (Lake Lure, NC) in a Western Piedmont game, on Tuesday, November 21. The Master's Academy will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record.

With the defeat, Challenger moves to 1-2 on the year. The Firebirds travel to Community Christian Academy (Bessemer City, NC) to face the Warriors in a Western Piedmont game on Tuesday, November 21.
