In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) basketball squad edged the host Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls (Harrisburg, NC), by a margin of 53-47.

The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC). The Colts go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, West Stanly was tipped by South Stanly (Norwood, NC), 76-72, in a non-league outing.

The Ragin' Bulls now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Covenant Day for a non-league outing on Friday, November 25.
