The Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) basketball knocked off the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), 68-54 in Friday's league test.

The Spartans (11-11) will now prepare for their test against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Cavaliers go into the 4A Conference 58 test with a 5-17 record.

The Pirates now own a 11-12 record. They play next when they host Piedmont for a 4A Conference 58 test on Friday, February 10.
