North Carolina High School Basketball - Sun Valley knocked off by Weddington

The Weddington Warriors basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Sun Valley Spartans to 57 in the Warriors league triumph on Tuesday.

The Warriors now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cox Mill for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 4. Weddington will battle a Chargers team coming off a 82-80 non-league win over Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 8-6.

The Spartans (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks enter the 4A Conference 58 contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Marvin Ridge was defeated by Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC), 83-65, in a league contest.
