November 23, 2022: Aledo, IL 61231 The Fulton Steamers basketball team (Fulton, IL), was overwhelmed 53-32 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL)
The Golden Eagles now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alleman for a Western Big 6 battle on Friday, November 25. Mercer County will battle a Pioneers team coming off a 44-33 non-league loss to Fulton (Fulton, IL). The Pioneers record now stands at 0-2.
The Steamers (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Sherrard (Sherrard, IL). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Sherrard trounced Alleman (Rock Island, IL), 59-28, in a non-league battle.
