November 29, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87110 The Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) basketball nipped the host Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), 60-59 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their test against West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 1-0 record.
The Matadors now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Highland for a non-league test on Friday, December 1. Sandia will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 50-30 non-league win over Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM). The Hornets record now stands at 1-0.
