North Carolina High School Basketball - Gaston Christian holds off Cannon

November 29, 2024: Concord, NC 28027

The Gaston Christian Eagles basketball team scored 69 points and limited the host Cannon Cougars to 62 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now have a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to South Mecklenburg for a non-league game on Saturday, November 30. Gaston Christian will confront a Sabres team coming off a 73-67 non-league win over Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Sabres record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Cannon falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Statesville (Statesville, NC) to confront the Greyhounds in a non-league game on Saturday, November 30. The Greyhounds go into the game with a record of 1-1. Statesville lost 59-47 in their recent non-league game against Carson (China Grove, NC)
