The Gaston Christian Eagles basketball team scored 88 points and limited the visiting Carmel Christian Cougars to 41 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now possess a 20-7 record. They play next when they host Westminster Catawba Christian for a NCISAA Metrolina game on Tuesday, February 4. Gaston Christian will confront a Indians team coming off a 52-46 league win over Gaston Day (Gastonia, NC). The Indians record now stands at 12-14.

With the loss, Carmel Christian falls to 15-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Greater Cabarrus Stallions (Concord, NC) to confront the Stallions in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 4.
