In Thursday's league outing, the Frontier Cougars (New Matamoras, OH) basketball squad nipped the visiting Monroe Central Seminoles (Woodsfield, OH), by a margin of 48-45.

The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against River (Hannibal, OH). The Pilots go into the Mid-Ohio Valley outing with a 0-0 record.
