Ohio High School Basketball - Frontier nips Catholic Central

February 3, 2024: New Matamoras, OH 45767

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Frontier Cougars (New Matamoras, OH) and the visiting Catholic Central Crusaders (Steubenville, OH), saw Frontier's basketball squad hold off Catholic Central by a tally of 50-44.

With the victory, Frontier improves its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Valley (Pine Grove, WV) to play the Lumberjacks in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 5. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a record of 6-6. Valley lost 50-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Conotton Valley (Bowerston, OH)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Harrison Central Huskies (Cadiz, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 5. Catholic Central will attempt to improve on its 9-11 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 42-40 non-league win over Buckeye Trail (Lore City, OH).
