North Carolina High School Basketball - South Mecklenburg ripped by Independence

November 30, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28227

The Independence Patriots basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres to 41 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Patriots now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Porter Ridge for a non-league contest on Monday, December 4. Independence will meet a Pirates team coming off a 67-22 non-league win over Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC). The Pirates record now stands at 4-1.

The Sabres (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Mavericks enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Mallard Creek triumphed over East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC), 69-14, in a non-league contest.
