Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), 77-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 23-5 on the season. The Patriots travel to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to play the Mavericks in a non-league bout on Friday, March 1. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 23-4. Marvin Ridge won 52-42 in their recent non-league bout against Weddington (Matthews, NC)
