In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Hickory Hawks basketball team scored a close 61-59 win over the Currituck County Knights.

The Hawks (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against First Colonial (Virginia Beach, VA). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, First Colonial edged Ocean Lakes (Virginia Beach, VA), 83-53, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the West Bladen Knights (Bladenboro, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 5. Currituck County will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Knights come into the contest with a 3-0 record after their 54-30 non-league win over East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC).
