Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX) and the visiting The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX), saw New Caney's basketball squad hold off The Woodlands by a tally of 53-50.

With the victory, New Caney improves its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Porter (Porter, TX) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 7. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Porter won 71-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Liberty (Liberty, TX)

Next up, the Highlanders play the Reagan Rattlers (San Antonio, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. The Woodlands will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 64-60 league loss to Clark (San Antonio, TX).
