The Freedom Patriots basketball team scored 74 points and held the visiting Draughn Wildcats to 45 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Patriots now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hickory for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 8. Freedom will meet a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 71-68 non-league loss to Enka (Enka, NC). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 4-1.

The Wildcats (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Cavaliers enter the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, East Burke was routed by Freedom (Morganton, NC), 63-59, in a non-league contest.
