Nebraska High School Basketball - Meridian thwarts Dorchester

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Meridian Mustangs (Daykin, NE) and the host Dorchester Longhorns (Dorchester, NE), observed Meridian's basketball team knock off Dorchester by a score of 43-31.

The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cross County (Stromsburg, NE). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Cross County prevailed over Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE), 53-28, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Longhorns encounter the High Plains Storm (Polk, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Dorchester will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 60-53 non-league loss to Fullerton (Fullerton, NE).
