New York High School Basketball - Christ the King bests Monsignor Scanlan
December 8, 2024: Bronx, NY 10465 The Christ the King Royals basketball team scored 87 points and limited the host Monsignor Scanlan Crusaders to 76 in the Royals non-league triumph on Sunday.
The Royals now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to St. Raymond Boys for a Catholic AA - New York game on Tuesday, December 10. Christ the King will confront a Ravens team coming off a 76-63 league win over St. Peter's (Staten Island, NY). The Ravens record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, Monsignor Scanlan falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Iona Prep (New Rochelle, NY) to confront the Gaels in a Catholic AA - New York game on Tuesday, December 10. The Gaels go into the game with a record of 3-1. Iona Prep lost 64-54 in their recent non-league game against Jackson-Reed (Washington, DC)
