In Thursday's non-league outing, the North Central Knights (Bassett, NE) basketball squad felled the visiting Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE), by a margin of 59-49.

The Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Burwell (Burwell, NE). The Longhorns go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Burwell was beaten by Fullerton (Fullerton, NE), 51-35, in a non-league outing.
