The KIPP Pride Pride basketball team (Gaston, NC), was overwhelmed 70-23 in Friday's league battle with the host Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC)

The Chargers now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Edgecombe for a 1A Tar Roanoke battle on Tuesday, December 5. Weldon will battle a Warriors team coming off a 73-60 non-league loss to Washington County (Plymouth, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 0-1.
