North Carolina High School Basketball - Smoky Mountain tops Swain County

December 11, 2023: Sylva, NC 28779

Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) and the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), saw Smoky Mountain's basketball squad knock off Swain County by a count of 52-33.

With the victory, Smoky Mountain upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Pisgah (Canton, NC) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 15. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Pisgah lost 45-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC)

Next up, the Maroon Devils play the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 13. Swain County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
