The Smoky Mountain Mustangs basketball team (Sylva, NC), dropped 55-36 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC)

The Panthers now possess a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Swain County for a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 7.

The Mustangs (6-12) will now prepare for their battle against Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Mountaineers come into the non-league battle with a 5-10 record. In their last battle, Tuscola dropped by Pisgah (Canton, NC), 49-40, in a non-league battle.
