North Carolina High School Basketball - Kings Mountain nips Shelby

December 11, 2024: Kings Mountain, NC 28086

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Kings Mountain Mountaineers basketball team scored a close 64-57 triumph over the Shelby Golden Lions.

The Mountaineers (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against South Point (Belmont, NC). The Red Raiders go into the 3A Big South contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, South Point was tipped by Clover (Clover, SC), 55-51, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Golden Lions battle the Veritas Christian Academy Warriors (Arden, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 13. Shelby will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 52-47 league loss to Lake Lure Classical Academy (Lake Lure, NC).
