Texas High School Basketball - Alto can't hold off Lovelady
December 12, 2023: Lovelady, TX 75851 The Lovelady Lions basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Alto Yellowjackets to 52 in the Lions non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Normangee for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Lovelady will battle a Panthers team coming off a 56-46 non-league win over Latexo (Latexo, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 8-5.
The Yellowjackets (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Shelbyville (Shelbyville, TX). The Dragons come into the non-league contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Shelbyville edged West Sabine (Pineland, TX), 47-39, in a non-league contest.
