The South Mecklenburg Sabres basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the host Berry Cardinal to 62 in the Sabres non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Sabres now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Palisades for a contest on Friday, December 15. South Mecklenburg will battle a Pumas team coming off a 43-40 non-league loss to Myers Park (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas record now stands at 7-2.

The Cardinal (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Ardrey Kell was nudged by Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC), 49-35, in a non-league contest.
