The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) and the visiting Marion Wildcats (Marion, IL), observed Mt. Vernon's basketball team knock off Marion by a score of 75-64.

The Rams (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Carbondale (Carbondale, IL). The Terriers come into the South Seven challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, Carbondale prevailed over Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY), 63-29, in a non-league challenge.
