Strom Thurmond Rebels (Johnston, SC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Saluda Tigers (Saluda, SC), 37-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Strom Thurmond upgrades its record to 3-7 on the season. The Rebels travel to Emerald (Greenwood, SC) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 15. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Emerald won 50-28 in their recent non-league bout against Ninety Six (Ninety Six, SC)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans (Monetta, SC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 14. Saluda will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 45-30 league loss to Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC).
