South Carolina High School Basketball - Pelion ripped by Strom Thurmond

The Strom Thurmond Rebels basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Pelion Panthers to 42 in the Rebels league triumph on Friday.

The Rebels now sport a 10-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Silver Bluff for a AA Region 3 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Strom Thurmond will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 44-36 non-league win over Aiken (Aiken, SC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-3.

The Panthers (12-11) will now prepare for their contest against Batesburg-Leesville (Batesburg, SC). The Panthers enter the AA Region 3 contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Batesburg-Leesville triumphed over Fox Creek (North Augusta, SC), 62-30, in a league contest.
