The Southwestern Piasa Birds basketball squad (Piasa, IL), was outscored 57-38 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL)

With the victory, Litchfield advances its record to 3-3 on the year. The Purple Panthers travel to Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL) to meet the Lancers in a non-league battle on Saturday, December 14. The Lancers enter the battle with a record of 5-3. Lincolnwood won 56-45 in their recent non-league battle against Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL)

The Piasa Birds now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Routt Catholic for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 17. Southwestern will meet a Rockets squad coming off a 42-31 non-league win over South County (Franklin, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 7-0.
