The Lincolnwood Lancers basketball squad (Raymond, IL), was nudged 53-51 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL)

With the victory, Southwestern advances its record to 7-7 on the year. The Piasa Birds host Dupo (Dupo, IL) to meet the Tigers in a non-league battle on Friday, December 27. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 0-5. Dupo lost 65-38 in their recent league battle against New Athens (New Athens, IL)

The Lancers now own a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Routt Catholic for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 26. Lincolnwood will meet a Rockets squad coming off a 44-29 non-league win over Carlinville (Carlinville, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 10-0.
