The North Mac Panthers basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Southwestern Piasa Birds to 40 in the Panthers league triumph on Thursday.

The Panthers now possess a 11-18 record. They play next when they travel to Roxana for a non-league game on Monday, February 24. North Mac will play a Shells team coming off a 59-36 non-league win over Calhoun (Hardin, IL). The Shells record now stands at 15-16.

With the loss, Southwestern falls to 17-13 on the campaign. The Piasa birds travel to Bunker Hill (Bunker Hill, IL) to play the Minutemen in a non-league game on Friday, February 21. The Minutemen go into the game with a record of 11-18. Bunker Hill lost 52-38 in their recent non-league game against Carrollton (Carrollton, IL)
