Georgia High School Basketball - Sequoyah can't get by Pope

The Sequoyah Chiefs basketball squad (Canton, GA), was nudged 55-49 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA)

With the victory, Pope advances its record to 9-2 on the year. The Greyhounds host Woodstock (Woodstock, GA) to meet the Wolverines in a AAAAA Region 6 battle on Wednesday, December 18. The Wolverines enter the battle with a record of 2-7. Woodstock lost 45-41 in their recent league battle against Sprayberry (Marietta, GA)

The Chiefs now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Creekview for a AAAAA Region 6 battle on Tuesday, December 17. Sequoyah will meet a Grizzlies squad coming off a 50-46 non-league loss to Marist (Atlanta, GA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 5-3.
