New Jersey High School Basketball - Holmdel tops Middletown South
December 14, 2023: Holmdel, NJ 07733 Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ), 70-61 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Holmdel upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ) to play the Warriors in a Shore A - Central bout on Monday, December 18. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Manasquan won 64-35 in their recent league bout against Red Bank Regional (Little Silver, NJ)
Next up, the Eagles play the Steinert Spartans (Hamilton, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 16. Middletown South will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 51-41 league loss to Hamilton (Hamilton, NJ).
