In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Ira Bulldogs basketball team scored a good 46-30 win over the Bronte Longhorns.

The Bulldogs (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Grady (Lenorah, TX). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Grady defeated Westbrook (Westbrook, TX), 33-28, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Longhorns battle the Robert Lee Steers (Robert Lee, TX) in a 1A Region II District 11 contest, on Tuesday, December 17. Bronte will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record.
