Texas High School Basketball - Sharpstown knocked off by Sterling

The Sterling Raiders basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting Sharpstown Apollos to 69 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Raiders now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Waltrip for a 5A Region III District 19 contest on Tuesday, December 20. Sterling will battle a Rams team coming off a 68-63 non-league loss to Lee (Baytown, TX). The Rams record now stands at 3-7.

The Apollos (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Austin (Houston, TX). The Mustangs enter the 5A Region III District 19 contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Austin was defeated by Worthing (Houston, TX), 71-62, in a non-league contest.
