Iowa High School Basketball - Muscatine nips Assumption
December 15, 2023: Davenport, IA 52804 Muscatine Muskies (Muscatine, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Assumption Knights (Davenport, IA), 62-56 in a league bout.
With the victory, Muscatine upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Muskies travel to Central Clinton (DeWitt, IA) to play the Sabers in a Mississippi bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Sabers come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Central Clinton won 66-60 in their recent league bout against Davenport West (Davenport, IA)
Next up, the Knights play the Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) in a Mississippi bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Assumption will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Spartans come into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 55-49 league loss to North Scott (Eldridge, IA).
