The Covington Owls basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the visiting Frost Polar Bears to 37 in the Owls non-league victory on Friday.

The Owls now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kopperl for a 1A Region III District 20 contest on Tuesday, December 19.

The Polar Bears (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Neches (Neches, TX). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Neches was nudged by Martinsville (Martinsville, TX), 60-36, in a league contest.
