The Nelsonville-York Buckeyes basketball team (Nelsonville, OH), was nudged 52-49 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Meigs Marauders (Pomeroy, OH)

The Marauders now possess a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wellston for a Tri-Valley I battle on Tuesday, December 19. Meigs will battle a Golden Rockets team coming off a 77-63 non-league loss to New Hope Christian Academy (Circleville, OH). The Golden Rockets record now stands at 1-4.

The Buckeyes (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Trimble (Glouster, OH). The Tomcats come into the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Trimble edged Eastern (Reedsville, OH), 81-52, in a league battle.
