In Friday's league match, the host Desert Scorpions basketball team scored a decisive 69-27 triumph over the California City Ravens.

In their next game, the Scorpions meet the Santa Clara Saints (Oxnard, CA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 17. Desert will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Saints enter the match with a 2-5 record after their 71-66 league loss to Cate (Carpinteria, CA).

With the defeat, California City moves to 3-10 on the year. The Ravens host Mammoth (Mammoth Lakes, CA) to meet the Huskies in a High Desert match on Wednesday, December 21. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 5-3.
