Virginia High School Basketball - Cox nips Tallwood

December 16, 2022: Virginia Beach, VA 23454

Cox Falcons (Virginia Beach, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Tallwood Lions (Virginia Beach, VA), 57-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cox upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, December 19. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 3-2. Great Bridge lost 72-43 in their recent league bout against Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA)

Next up, the Lions play the Kellam Knights (Virginia Beach, VA) in a Beach bout, on Tuesday, December 20. Tallwood will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 69-39 non-league win over Granby (Norfolk, VA).
