The Crystal River Pirates (Crystal River, FL) basketball nipped the visiting Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL), 70-66 in Friday's non-league test.

The Pirates (2-7) will now prepare for their test against Nature Coast Tech (Brooksville, FL). The Sharks go into the non-league test with a 5-4 record.

The Leopards now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Merritt Island Christian for a non-league test on Monday, December 19. Hernando will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 71-39 non-league loss to Titusville (Titusville, FL). The Cougars record now stands at 4-2.
