The Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) basketball crushed the host Valley View Tigers (Pharr, TX), 80-15 in Friday's league test.

The Sabercats (14-4) will now prepare for their test against Rowe (McAllen, TX). The Warriors go into the 5A Region IV District 31 test with a 12-7 record. In their last test, Rowe walloped Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX), 72-11, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Sharyland for a 5A Region IV District 31 test on Tuesday, December 20.
