South Dakota High School Basketball - Howard holds off Wessington Springs
December 16, 2023: Wessington Springs, SD 57382 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Howard Tigers (Howard, SD) and the host Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD), saw Howard's basketball squad hold off Wessington Springs by a tally of 38-33.
With the victory, Howard improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Freeman (Freeman, SD) to confront the Flyers in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Flyers come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. Freeman lost 64-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Canistota (Canistota, SD)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders (Miller, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 21. Wessington Springs will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 50-42 non-league loss to Sioux Falls Lutheran (Sioux Falls, SD).
