The Screven County Gamecocks (Sylvania, GA) basketball edged the visiting Bryan County Redskins (Pembroke, GA), 48-45 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Gamecocks now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Jenkins County for a A D2 Region 3 bout on Saturday, January 4.

With the loss, Bryan County falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Redskins host Wheeler County (Alamo, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Wheeler County won 65-60 in their recent league bout against Treutlen (Soperton, GA)
