The French Settlement Lions (French Settlement, LA) basketball edged the host East St. John Wildcats (Reserve, LA), 78-75 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 7-3 record. They play next when they host White Castle for a non-league bout on Friday, December 20. French Settlement will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 72-40 non-league loss to Woodlawn-B.R. (Baton Rouge, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.
