Slinger Owls (Slinger, WI) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Homestead Highlanders (Mequon, WI), 70-69 in a league match.

With the victory, Slinger upgrades its record to 5-1 on the year. The Owls host Whitefish Bay (Whitefish Bay, WI) to face the Blue Dukes in a North Shore match on Friday, December 20. The Blue Dukes enter the match with a record of 5-2. Whitefish Bay won 93-41 in their recent league match against West Bend East (West Bend, WI)

The Highlanders now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Port Washington for a North Shore match on Friday, December 20. Homestead will face a Pirates squad coming off a 69-67 league loss to Hartford (Hartford, WI). The Pirates record now stands at 3-4.
